If there aren't any such footage, then why? Is Sony afraid we might not be able to tell the difference? The Pro will be released in a week. Would be nice if we could see if there was a reason to buy it, if one only has a 1080p TV. Thoughts? |
Let me make the general statements that PS4 Pro enhanced games on a 1080p televsion look better than games without enhancements on that same televsion. But a PS4 Pro enhanced game on a 4K televsion looks better than on a 1080p televsion.
Now remember when Sony first revealed the Pro, one of the criticisms was that Sony didn't do a good enough job conveying the quality of the Pro enhanced graphics. Part of that issue was that it's hard to show off 4K content on non-4K displays. Sony's primamry push for the Pro is HDR 4K graphics. So in my opinion, pushing a lot of 1080p Pro enhanced media might detract from the real selling point of the HDR 4K graphics.
