I do care about power, I like a good looking game but more important than that is that games can be more ambitious , better A.I, more expansive and interactive worlds, better and more interesting physics, new mechanics etc. I think that the current push for 4k resolutions is a waste of resources, better left for next generations to come (when we can get 20 TFlops GPU's at mass market price).
In the end, I think that power is not as important as MS/Sony fanboys and PC elitists say, but way more important than some Nintendo fanboys wish it was, there's a sweet spot right in the middle of the argument.
