It would also be the end of Russia. There's a reason why it didn't happen in the 60s and won't happen now, hate to break it to you, but you likely are going to die a boring death in an old folks home, not some nuclear holocaust out of the Terminator movies and even in the Terminator movies it's artificial intelligence A.I. that kills most of humanity not because US/Russia started a war with each other. 

Of all mankind. IT would be the end of all mankind. At elast as we know it. Granted, some people would survive in a nightmarish unspeakable horrorific world, but as we know it mankind would be done.
