Of course it doesn't matter. I cant even remember when last i saw a physical disc, be it dvd or bluray. And the casuals that want to watch movies, simply dont care about buying discs when they have netflix/amazon/apple store/play store.....etc. There is just no need.
This whole movies on discs nonsense has bevome relevamt or such a big deal now cause its one thing a certain group of people can say their console has and that the other doesn't.... when in truth even those people saying it will probably not buy up to 5 UHD movie discs over the course of the next 5yrs.
When BR discs for movies were important, back in 2006/2007/2008 during the HD format war, sony won it. And what difference did it make for the PS3? The non Blu-ray playing 360 still kicked it's ass for the majority of the generation. But all of a sudden it matters now lol.
