Personally, I think it's a little insane to claim that MGS5, FFXIV and GT6 won't appear this generation.
MGS: Had 2 installments last gen, even though it only had 1 in it's PS1 years, I doubt it'll go back to that.
FF: NES saw 3 installments, ditto SNES and again PS1, the only slump was last generation and even with the longest delay in the history of main series FF, SE still managed to pump out 2 for the PS2.
GT6: 2 for ps1, 2 for ps2 and only 1 for PS3? come on.....
Anyway, unless they sell off the company, GT6 will remain PS exclusive, MGS will probably go multiplatform (with the xbox getting a much later release) and FF will remain PS (with "nextbox" getting it's own franchise to be built this generation).
