Gameboy couldnt connect on TV, by the way, you need a SNES for that.

All said, there is just nothing to be copied from the Switch by Sony.

Gameboy connected on tv, through the SNES. Just like the PSP connected to the TV through a cable. Sony just made use of the more advanced technology when the PSP launched because they were so behind on Nintendo when it came to handheld gaming.
