You're wrong.

We're talking about a single device that can play on TV and on the go with the same library of games.  Sega Nomad and PSP (not Vita) can do that.

The Super Gameboy adapter you'd have to buy the SNES AND Gameboy AND Gameboy Adapter. That's two different devices that have two different library.  The Super GB adapter is more like making your SNES being backwards compatible with GB games. Or if the PS3 had a PSP UMD slot/Vita slot built in.  You'd still need two different consoles to play at home and on the go.

doesnt matter .. the basic idea was already there. others just build upon it..

But it does matter, because this thread is referring to the Switch's ability being a single device using the same library to act as both, a home and portable console.  No one's ever thought of the Switch being similar to  the SNES+GB+GB Adapter because it's not the same.  You're comparing apples to oranges.

If Nintendo patent the idea of SNES+GB+GB Adapter, they couldn't sue Sega if Sega were to patant the Nomad because they're different.  If anything Sony's PSP copied Sega and now Nintendo is too.
