Man, where do you guys come up with these cringeworthy comments.

Some one digit paged thread tells us if VR is the future or not?

I wouldnt say VR is "the future". But certainly it will play a big part in the near future. Who says otherwise doesnt know whats going on in the world and is confined to the boundaries of... some internet forum and its couple of pages long threads.

lol... sure. Or some can't see what is in front of them and why the products can't ever go mainstream.

So, yeah... let's see. I have done this dance many times. Don't forget to disappear aswell when the obvious sinks in. It's the usual modus operandi.

Can't see what's in front? Are you talking about this thread? I can see you dancing around your fixed point of view.

The products? Do you yourself know what you're talking?

Newsflash: VR already is mainstream. I don't even need to include the release of PSVR. Sonys efforts play a big part no doubt. However, it isn't enough by far and not a key factor. I'm kinda able to emphasize with people like you. Ironically i myself am a little startled on how fast it is happening. I'm surprised because the tech is still basic, not advanced as it's supposed to be. Still, it is getting there with great speed.

I repeat, you have no notion of what is going on outside of the confines of this thread/forum. You said it yourself.

"Look at this thread. VR is obviously not the future."

This is hilarious. Imagining, telling dem analysts to "Look at the four pages of this thread!" and their reaction "OMG, your so rite, VR is not ze futur!".

ahh... funny... xD

*Ahem..

Of course china doesn't stand alone. All over the world VR is on the advance. May it be virtual reality escape room in Zurich, or VR fitness in the town i live - i happen to know of because it was on the local radio station. So local you can't find the location on the internet. And now even Microsoft is advertising their Scorpio - which arrives at the end of next year *hint* - with Virtual Reality.

Some naysayers on an internet forum isn't a good indicator. The links i provided and twenty seconds of this video on the other hand are excellent indicators why VR is thriving and why it will have a bright future.

Yes yes, i'm certain you know it better, although you know nothing and all your naysay is based on a feeling in your gut.
