I have always felt that Dragon Quest was always the better product from a gameplay standpoint, and it strived to stay true to its roots while catering to its fan. Final Fantasy has more flair, but I felt it has strayed from its root to appeal more to a mass marketable audience. And I never thought I'd see the say when Enix and Squaresoft finally merged as one once being direct competitors. Between the two, my vote is for Dragon Quest. If Final Fantasy fell off the face of the earth today, I'd feel no big loss. |
Persona 3 was a amazing game. 4 was ok. 5 looks like it is getting a little lost to be honest, like style finally got more important than substance, which is not the case with earlier Persona titles.
Well, I guess the thing that made me fall for Persona 3 was the horror aspects that particular game had, it was almost like a Junji Ito novel, minus the gore.
I admit, I probably can´t think they will repeat that all over again with every title, but I do remember the Persona Ps1 games as very creepy offerings, not flamboyant cosplay fests.
My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.
