The OP is not attempting to argue that NS is a powerhouse. Its goal is to put realistic boundaries on where NS will land and that those boundaries are well within the tech necessary for any game to be ported.
I buy Nintendo hardware for Nintendo software, but having 3rd party ports is a good thing too.
