OP knows what he's talking about. Eliminating the 6 buttons from the face was a step backwards and made a lot of fighters unbearable. You can press a button faster with your thumb than with your pointer finger curved about. OG Xbox had it correct, butt it was phat. People say fighters are a dying genre, well NO SHIT. With the way controllers are set up for strong punch, of course nobody wants to play them. Sega Saturn controller made fighting games playable on a normal control pad. D-pad was perfection.
