Pokemon sun and moon has an amazing over world and updated the 8 gym concept that was getting old. the game looks great and is helping people achieve the 3d pokemon world we've always wanted. why complain?

It's not Pokémon. It's some new director's stupid idea of what Pokémon should be.

I'm complaining because it sucks and it's not the franchise I grew in love with and was in love for 2 decades. Alola Forms are stupid. Ultra Beasts are stupid. Z-moves are stupid. Ash-Greninja is stupid. Handholding regarding the effectiveness of moves is stupid.

That aside, a lot of the new Pokémon designs are beyond awful, as well as their names (some examples being Bewear, Incineroar, Bruxish, Palosand, Turtonator, Type: Null - all of these are either among the worst Pokémon designs or names ever, if not both); the soundtrack, or at least the bits that we've heard from it in the demo, is mostly ATROCIOUS; and not having gyms is not necessarily a positive change, because honestly they were part of what Pokémon had always been and they never felt repetitive to anyone as far as I know.

That's the big problem with this game. It is NOTHING like any Pokémon game EVER before it, and that's not a compliment, because when it completely changes EVERYTHING you know and love about it, it gets weird, and not in a good way. Most Nintendo games strike a good balance of innovation/tradition that keeps things fresh while also classic to some point, but Sun and Moon get it completely wrong.

Also, they already spoiled the entire game. Yay, I guess?

Muk, mr.mime, jynx, squirtle...uh, I think we've realized some of the names are strange.

Also, in all honesty, it sounds like you're whining more than you're actually criticizing. it seems as though change is hard to come by for many gamers. if these games were atrocious they wouldn't be achieving record sales. pokemon xy was controversial and look at the sales. far from bad but it certainly underachieved for a leap in pokemon.

Pokemon fans have been complaining about the lack of a better story. pokemon black and white executed it well but we quickly went back to "lol let's take over the world".

Sun/moon is returning to the franchise you loved for 2 decades. Instead of a stereotypical bad group wanting to take over the world, we're  going back to punks who simply want to mess with you. or is different this time since there's no nostalgia to support team skull?

Edit: what was wrong with the link You Sent? that song was actually greatly composed. now I really feel like you're bashing on sun/moon just because it is sun/moon( similar to how people bashed Infinite Warfare because it's infinite warfare)
