Taking into account the recent (higher) rise of popularity of pokemon, and the fact that the 3DS is dirty cheap nowadays, and the fact that it will still be receiving new game next year, I think it can still have a decent year next year and the 3DS sales will probably be pushed(in 2017) by Pokemon Sun/Moon.
