Obamacare is pretty awful. For instance, my dad has insurance through his employer, and they've jacked up their premiums considerably thanks to Obamacare. His take home pay is about half of what he actually makes once taxes, insurance, and his small 401k payment come out. He's been forced to take a second job just to make ends meet, so he ends up working like 50-60 hours a week now, at his age.

And what does he get for all that money he pays? Insurance with a deductible so high that it doesn't get met in a typical year, so the insurance is useless for anything except an emergency situation such as an extended hospital stay or an in-patient surgery.

Is his insurance high because of Obamacare or is it just high.  The company I worked for shopped around for the best deal for its employees and my insurance did not go higer from pre to post Obamacare.  Actually because of the amount I use to pay went down, I put that money into my HSA account instead.  Everyone experience will be different but I do wonder if people and corporation are actually shopping for the lowest best coverage.

Not only they only have one company available
