TLDR for the lazy:
- The PS4 averages between 1000p and 900p, and the X1 between 900p and 720p.
- Campaign performance is very similar on both, with the X1 having a slight edge.
- Settings on both appear to be akin to medium on PC, with some effects varying from low to high depending on the scene.
- Multiplayer performance is a decent amount better on the X1, though the difficulty in comparing multi-player performance is noted.
- If you have a decent PC, you're going to be laughing your way to the graphics bank.
Given BF is a series that prides itself in part on its 60fps target, it seems to me like both versions should have opted for harsher resolution scaling. Looking at performance on PC, it seems like they could have done with a bit more time in the oven too. Still, on the graphics front it's an impressive showing on both consoles.
