Is Nintendo switch (or NS) the start of Gen 9?

But Nintendo are pretty much in their own generation at this point. So it's Nintendo's 7th generation, in the collective 8th generation.

I mean, they all are in their own generation. PS4 is Sony's fourth generation console, while Xbox one is Microsoft's 3rd gen console. That's not really something that only sprouted about because of the Switch.
