http://www.pcgamer.com/grand-theft-auto-5-rumours-suggest-full-blown-mmo-could-be-built-over-next-four-years/
It goes without saying that rumours and speculation should always be taken with a pinch of salt—and the latest pertaining to the direction of Grand Theft Auto over the next few years is no different. But, and this is a relatively big but, should the information posted by one GTAForum user in fact turn out to be true, then it seems fans of the open-world crime series have a lot to look forward to.

GTA ONLINE THROWING MONEY, MOTORCYCLES, AND A NEW MODE AT YOU THIS HALLOWEEN
http://www.pcgamer.com/gta-online-throwing-money-motorcycles-and-a-new-mode-at-you-this-halloween/
If you fire up GTA Online between now and October 3, you'll find a wad of in-game cash in your virtual bank account, because this month marks the three year anniversary of GTA Online. Time flies! Also, there's a Halloween-themed motorcycle and discounts on vehicles, guns, and tattoos, plus there's anothernew motorcycle that isn't the Halloween one. Oh, and there's also a new mode. Look, the official press release kind of trips over itself, so eager is it to throw a bunch of stuff at you for a bunch of different reasons, so let's break it down a bit at a time.

ROCKSTAR REMOVES TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS FROM GTA ONLINE CHEATERS' IN-GAME ACCOUNTS
http://www.pcgamer.com/rockstar-removes-trillions-of-dollars-from-gta-online-cheaters-in-game-accounts/
Better late than never? Rockstar has finally responded to the ill-gotten gains of cheaters, hackers, and modders in GTA Online by sucking trillions of in-game dollars out of the offenders' virtual bank accounts. In what is definitely not a coincidence, today Rockstar also posted an update to their suspension and ban policy, stating that players with a temporary ban will find their online characters, inventory, property, and progress reset when the ban lifts.

CITIES: SKYLINES TEASES IN-GAME FOOTAGE OF NATURAL DISASTERS EXPANSION
http://www.pcgamer.com/cities-skylines-teases-in-game-footage-of-natural-disasters-expansion/
Dubbed by Paradox as the “the feature fans have been asking for since launch,” we learned in August that Cities: Skylines is set to welcome natural disasters to its city-building bounds. By way of the aptly named Natural Disasters expansion—that's due at some point this winter—the developer has now teased a sliver of in-game footage.

>>It looks good.

OVERWATCH COMPETITIVE PLAY SKILL RATINGS ARE CHANGING IN SEASON THREE
http://www.pcgamer.com/overwatch-competitive-play-skill-ratings-are-changing-in-season-three/
It turns out that the second season of Overwatch Competitive Play didn't work out quite as Blizzard had envisioned. "When Season 2 started, we had WAY more players in Gold and Platinum than we initially intended, and way fewer in Bronze and Silver," designer Scott Mercer explained in a recent forum post. "This was the result of how we calculated your initial SR for Season 2. We tried to partially reset player SR at the start of Season 2, but the results were not as we expected."

THE GWENT CLOSED BETA IS NOW UNDERWAY
http://www.pcgamer.com/the-gwent-closed-beta-is-now-underway/
Prepare the celebratory hot tub, because CD Projekt has announced that the closed beta test for the Witcher-based collectible card game Gwent is now underway. The first wave of invitations have been sent out, but don't fret if you don't receive one, because more will be coming in future waves.

ELITE: DANGEROUS - HORIZONS 2.2 UPDATE, "THE GUARDIANS," IS NOW LIVE
http://www.pcgamer.com/elite-dangerous-horizons-22-update-the-guardians-is-now-live/
The Elite: Dangerous - Horizons 2.2 update, also known as The Guardians, and the 1.7 update to the base game are both set to go live today, and in fact should be patched in by the time you read this. I say "should be" because it's a long process: The servers were taken offline at 10 am BST/5 am EDT today, but Frontier Developments community manager Zac Antonaci warned that the upgrade process could take in excess of eight hours to complete.

THE CLOCKWORK EMPIRES LAUNCH TRAILER IS A TALE OF COLONIAL MISERY AND MADNESS
http://www.pcgamer.com/the-clockwork-empires-launch-trailer-is-a-tale-of-colonial-misery-and-madness/
The neo-Victorian Cthulhu colony simulator Clockwork Empires comes out tomorrow, which means we have just one more chance to watch a video of digital settlers working toward a happy, prosperous life, only to fall prey to incompetent middle management and the otherworldly clutches of unearthly horrors.

SAVIOR IS THE 'FIRST INDEPENDENT VIDEO GAME' TO COME FROM CUBA
http://www.pcgamer.com/savior-is-the-first-independent-video-game-to-come-from-cuba/
While much of the western world now takes access to high-speed internet for granted, Cuba has only recently made the web accessible for the majority of its citizens via public Wi-Fi hotspots. The Cuban game development scene has as such been pretty non-existent until now—something Empty Head Games is aiming to change with its debut project Savior.
