I've looked at your source and it seems you have conceeded to the fact that it was a new IP and not a tech demo?


Edit: the source for the article you posted says,

"You don’t spend a year and a half working on a game without getting attached to it."

It wasn't a tech demo.



IP =/= game. 

That project was in pre-production with 20 people while MS was making a deal with Epic.

It was Black Tusk choice to work on Gears instead of the other project they were planning.
