I actually think the density of releases is part of the reason they are laujching in March. They know they are launching mid gen. And even if the Switch is in the ballpark of the Xbone in power, they know they are launching against the Pro and later the Scorpio. So they don't want to have to fight for add time with either. They also want the first year to be super strong with as much attention on them as humanly possible. By launching in March, they cut out December, January and February. So instead of spreading releases between launch and Holiday 2017 over 12 months, they can take that lineup and squish it into 9. By doing so, big names land more frequently along with whatever 3rd parties show up to keep them in headlines constantly. I also fully expect them to capitalize on the 3 months chopped off by moving a title or two to Holidays so they can hit hard at E3. Also, expect that 3D Mario to be Holidays to give them a strong answer to Scorpio.
