Except UK, France, Germany etc aren`t really big console gaming markets. Europe as a whole is, sure, but the individual countries, not so much. Unlike India (and formerly China) Japan has the economy to support a large market and most importantly the history of having a large console market. Japan used to be easily bigger than any individual European country so to be compared to them now just shows how much the market their has declined. |
I'm sorry but the UK is a big market. And so are the others like Germany, France and Spain.
They are just not behemoths like continental markets like the EU, NA.
Japan is no longer a behemoth that can stand toe to toe with continents. It's now downgraded to a big market in the same league as the likes of the UK, Germany and France.
Remember, declined ≠ not big.
