I actually think this is for the best.
If anything else, NSwitch can't fail as a HH. It is better than relying too much on the dock juice and not actually being able to run the games nicely on the go. I mean, the dock might be able to improve it a little, with a better cooling system, but that's it.
My only worry is the battery life. If they can make it at least close to the 3DS XL battery life, i am sold.
