It will do well, but it won't "absolutely murder everything", calm down ^^.
Nintendo lost more or less half of its playerbase in the Wii+DS/Wii U + 3DS transition. The market is still shrinking, mostly because of mobile gaming. The Switch is obviously a console made for Japan, it will be its best territory and the Switch should be the best selling console there (the 3DS already is), but "murder everything" is a huge exaggeration. If they do better than the 3DS, it will already be good. I don't think it will make the DS numbers, and even less the DS+Wii numbers.
