Some of you may remember my rant after I quit my last job. Well, I've been in my new job for just over two months now and I couldn't be happier.

I work as a network administrator for two enterprise sized tenants. We are a really small team of 3 people who do everything from network to security(but not servers). The work is varied and we got a pretty good reputation for keeping everything running. Everyone at work is really nice and friendly. It's very social but without the pressure of participating in social events. Our office is pretty big for 3 people and cut off from the rest of the other teams so most of the day it's very quiet and relaxing. Yes, we have air conditioning.

My work is just demanding enough for me to live my passion and be creative but not too demanding to be stressful. I do have responsibility but a great team to back me up. We have a lot of fun and I don't think a day goes buy without us being silly and laughing. And the best part, I barely do anything in a normal work day. It's not that there is nothing to do but because I can stretch out my workload pretty far without anyone complaining. We also have a long term intern that helps with all the tedious work no one in  the team wants to do. That gives me enough time in a day to surf the web, educate myself about interesting stuff and finally pursue my Japanese learning again. Yet my pay is the highest it's ever been and I'm expecting a raise after my 6 month trial period. It's basically heaven

Well, now you know why I'm always so cheerful and positive in this forum.

Anyone else who loves his job?
