Aside from minecraft mods that may exist that I haven't seen - DQ builders does many, many things better. Infact the only thing they have in common is building blocks. The characters aren't blocks. The enemies aren't blocks. The food, the weapons, the spike traps, benches, furniture - basically everything but the basic building blocks - aren't blocks. There are tutorials and lists of how to make things. It isn't guess work or googling. You find reciples and blueprints. How do I build a chair? Oh it is these pieces at a forge. Simple. As your town grows people show up. They give you different quests. You level up, you get more hit points, and defense. The rooms do different things. The town people actually do things for you. On top of defending you from monsters, they build items and food. There is a story mode, and bosses. This is all stuff I've experienced in only chapter 1. |
That's good to hear. The town building sounds like a fun new mechanic that makes town building fun. And everything not looking like blocks gives it a better presentation.
