I agree with you but unfortunately the elites have a lot to gain with such a war. First off, they can accuse Russia of hacking the election and invalidating the results if Trump somehow manages to win. Secondly, they can take people's attention off of the failing economy and their own corruption and incompetence and redirect attention to a fabricated enemy (Russia) and thereby stay in power and not have to face the will of the people. I suspect that this is how most wars start: we're just expendable cockroaches to them who can be slaughtered on mass to keep their lives comfortable. Make no mistake, a war with Russia will be very bloody for both sides as China will likely support Russia and any American conscription would likely apply to everybody under 40 due to the low fertility rates. Trump may be a lot of things and he may not have much of a chance of actually taking power away from the elites but at least he represents something that is diametrically opposed to these people and I truly believe that he would not lead us into war.
