Robinson though could be the first big VR game.

Yes I do need VR for that, Games on a screen just did not do the trick for me anymore, for the last couple of years. And yes the Software is not there yet. But there are exceptions for example the Solus Project was probably the best experience I had in VR. Subnautica is absolutely stunning (except for the framedrops).

Half Life 2 in VR is mind blowing. Also Skyrim with Vorpx is a great experience and Minecraft.  Edge of Nowhere and Chronos are also very good titles.  

 

None of those experiences are mini games in any sense of the word.
