The difficulty of the vanilla KH2 doesn't allow the battle system to shine. KH2 final mix has a "Critical mode" that shows how great the game's battle system is. Honestly it has more strategy involved than most ATB based Final Fantasy games
Honestly I don't see what's so bad about the FF7 remake having action combat and I don't understand why do people think that action combat is inherently worse than turn based combat. Not like the old ATB Final Fantasies were super strategic or challenging...
