Well Pokemon Go, despite having slowed down to a more normal pace, still no eoubt helped stir up interest in the brand.  Plus...it's Pokemon.  Plus, its the furst real, true 3D Pokémon.  XY and ORAS had 3D graphics, but Sun and Moon is actually more in line with a true 3D game.  And many (myself included) have been wanting that since freaking Pokemon Coliseum:P
