I have no problem with criticism as long as it backs it up and doesn't aim to take shots at someone or something. However, this particular statement rubs me the wrong way. I get that Pachter doesn't like Nintendo's strategy in terms with mobile. Nevertheless, he could've said something that didn't sound like he's taking a shot at Iwata. Iwata's accomplishments both as a designer and as a president of both HAL and Nintendo cannot be swept under the rug or undermined. Despite his failure with the Wii U (and to some extent the initial launch of the 3DS), Iwata was able to bring in new audiences into gaming, which is never a bad thing. His current strategy that is being under Kimishima's watch so the ultimate results are yet to be determined.
