It can produce "better results" (1080p vs 900p) but as i said with a cost. PS4 has a better GPU but also has worse CPU (it has a bottleneck because of the less CPU clockspeed) and as result in many games it obtains an unstable framerate compared to X1 (specially open world games and games that push the processor like TW3).

And the 1080p thing i call it marketing bs because i think sometimes is better 900p with a stable framerate like the X1 obtains in TW3 than 1080p with an unstable framerate like PS4 obtains in that game. Sony just braged about 1080p all the time when their machine many times isn't capable of obtaining that resolution with the same graphics quality than the X1 without sacrificing framerate.

It doesn't matter if the PS4's CPU is worse than the X1's. It's the more powerful system capable of things its closest competitor isn't. So, that's the response to you saying that the X1 could do anything the PS4 could. The "costs" are irrelevant. One of them is factually stronger.

As for your second part, again, there's no "bs" to mathematical absolutes. What Sony said means didly, when the results are measurable and well documented.

And what are exactly those things? Tell me a thing that PS4 can do that X1 can't with just cutting the resolution from 1080p to 900p or 720p if necessary, because most games on X1 and PS4 are identical besides resolution. That's what i meant in the first place when quoting the comment, the comment said X1 falls short compared to PS4 when it doesn't, it's almost the same.

Both PS4 and X1 fall short when compared to a high end PC, that's a true statement, not the other one.
