Cyril Megem announced today that his indie action RTS/RPG hybrid, WARSHIFT, is now fully available on Steam. In order to celebrate this announcement, Cyril Megem released two new trailers that can be viewed below.
WARSHIFT is described as the unique mix of Action, Strategy and Role-playing gameplay elements that forms an innovative game genre.
In WARSHIFT, players can build base, manage troops, and then come down to keep their enemy at gunpoint in the dynamic battle and customize their main characters.
The game has been developed for more than five years by just one person (Cyril Megem), who is both game designer, artist and programmer in this project.
I remember looking at this game nearly a year ago and thinking it was something decent. Now it's finally finished and comes out of ea today and at a 50% price discount to boot. I think I'll take the dive for such a cheap price of £7.49 (Original PP £14.99).
There is another game slightly similar to this in that you can control your own units on the battlefield in a 3rd/1st person person perspective and that's Battlezone 98 Redux and Executive Assault (both are also cheap).
