Yeah, Sony should have learned that a gaming HW needs games to go with it. I'd be really surprised to see if the attach rate were a lot more than 10% of en PS4 install base. Really, really surprised. Maybe 15%, yeah, but not more than that

Thats still potentially like 11-17m units or more, by the end of the gen.

Which will be alot more than most others that sell VR headsets.

Most decent VR games, will have PSVR versions of the game sold too, simply because its the biggest market for it.

It also means if you want to have a go at VR gameing, its your safest bet.

Look at the Wii U, and its sales.

It still has decent games, with that amount of VR headsets out there, multiplat VR games that are pretty cool, could be made and supported. Basically if its "big" enough to sustain a new market for gameing, its not a fad.

I think it's almost useless to say "by the end of this gen" any longer; when does a new gen begin and the old one finish? PS4pro and XboxScorpio are mid gen consoles, gen 8.5 if you like, and who's to say that this trend won't sinply continue? But let's say (for arguments sake) that there will be a proper PS5 in like 3 years (maybe 4); I think the install base will be arond... 5-7 million VR headsets maybe. I'm not actually sure we should use the current PS4 install base as a measurement here; that console is a bit too weak to handle VR properly, that's why we got the Pro. I'm thinking that PSVR will be around 10-15% of the Pro install base at the end of this gen.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.
