I kinda agree with numberwang here. The holiday season is really important and it would be a mistake to miss it. And by that, I mean that they need to either reveal the console before Christmas (to finally give something to talk about and avoid some PS4/One sales), or to release it next holiday season. A March reveal for a summer release would be a huge mistake. Sales and broad audience's interest are low at this period.
If they don't reveal it before Christmas 2016, they need to wait for E3 2017 and make a conference again for a holiday 2017 release. But the more they wait, the more people buy other consoles.
