Tbh even on the technical side of things Smash 4 matches Melee the difference is that in the former it's applied differently, in Melee it's pretty much a must to use each trick in order to force an open to attack where as in S4 things are more situational so each bit of tech is not mandatory and you can get punished hard for just recklessly using techs.
