That news does not sound as positive in that article. Wonder what it will look like when the dust settles, both the S effect and firesale on older sku.

Of course it doesn't sound as positive.  That's why the articles regarding xbox last week and Playstation this week use these percentages.  Makes the sales sound way better.  Here's an example from ethomaz on gaf.

"Let's try guess the numbers again...

[Before 989% boost]
XB1 ~2k
PS4 ~6k

[989% boost]
XB1 ~20k
PS4 ~7k

[380% boost]
XB1 ~17k
PS4 ~27k"

So over 3 weeks ps4 will have sold more but the pr makes it sound like xbox did better.

Not in reply to you but I must repost this gif from gaf.  Just too funny!!

your numbers are wrong. 989% week marketshare was 71 vs 19

[Before 989% boost]
XB1 ~2.4k
PS4 ~5.5k

[989% boost]
XB1 ~26k
PS4 ~7k

[380% boost]
XB1 ~22k
PS4 ~34k"

Since the release of the Ps4 Slim, Xbox One outsold the Ps4 1.1:1 in the UK, even despite the £149 Ps4 deals
Since the release of the Xbox One s (500gb and 1tb model), Xbox One outsold the Ps4 1.2:1 in the UK
