Definitions as found by google:

Religion: the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods.

Atheism:disbelief or lack of belief in the existence of God or gods.

Where's the proof?

The proof is in your belief system or you could say your disbelief system. Whether or not you recognise it doesn't change the fact its your religion.

No. Atheists do not have any common traditions or rituals. If Atheism is a religion then everything is a religion. Like not believing in Santa Claus. Or not Believing that Zeus exists. The absence of belief is not belief, its the opposite. You cant simply change the meaning of definitions and claim that your definition is the truth. My definition of blue is red so the sky is red because I say so....

I for example do not believe there is a god until I have clear evidence. I also do not believe that Rudolf the rednose reindeer flew through the sky even though I cant say for sure that this did not happen.
