I've been an atheist since I was 10 years old, that makes your entire statement invalid. OT: Most everyone seeks a group to belong to, and the group gathers around certain themes. That is not religion - rather, it is pure human desire for socializing. That is why you and I are here, among other useful factors that exist on this forum, such as making game releases easier to follow, for example. |
You proved the point of the poster you replied to. Your Religion is not to believe in any God or Deity in any form or fashion.
Next I'd like to talk about this comment from the first post, tho I would like to confirm that you feel or the artical feels that religion is fiction and what the world says in opposition is fact? Or is it the other way round?
This first one makes points about how children who are religious do not distinguish very well between fact and fiction as well as children who are not religious/secular.
This I totally disagree with. I think that people who have a belief system in place is more likely to give balanced facts and reasons than that of secular people.
For example: The biggest fiction in the world is of Santa Clause. I have told all three of my children that Santa is not real from a very young age. I also told them that some children are told he is real and visits all the good children in one night with a present. I also told them that they do not have the right to destroy someone elses belief in Santa. But I made clear to my 3 kids that while someone who visited his towns poor kids with presents when alive and was a nice man does not indeed do it every year for the last 2 centuries all over the world, the man is dead leave him so. This is Fact. My kids know far more FACT's that the FICTION the "real world" try's to spit out.
