I would be more concerned about eye strain and potential long term consequences. These things (all VR) are in the primordial ooze stages. They're not really ready for mass consumption. But since people want it, these guys are gonna push it out there to try an make a buck.
There have been a number of highly educated doctors and scientists lately who've warned about wearing current VR tech with regards to our eyes. I think it's better if people hold off and take a wait and see approach.
Besides, if it bombs, do you really want to look back and say you spent hundreds of dollars on your generations Sega CD?
