FORZA HORIZON 3 UPDATE PROMISES TO FIX STUTTERING AND IMPROVE WHEEL SUPPORT

Forza Horizon 3 is "one of the best racing games on PC," but it also suffers from performance issues that make a smooth 60 fps a struggle for some PCs. Those issues have hopefully been taken care of in a new update that addresses problems including "stuttering with high or unlocked framerates on certain hardware configurations."

 

STATE REGULATOR ORDERS VALVE TO HALT CS:GO SKIN GAMBLING THROUGH STEAM

The Washington State Gambling Commission is demanding that Valve halt the transfer of CS:GO skins through the Steam API, which it says contravenes state gambling laws. In a press release posted by the Esports Betting Report, the regulatory agency gave Valve until October 14 to "explain how it is in full compliance with Washington's gambling laws," and warned that failure to do so could lead to civil or criminal action being brought against it.

OVERWATCH DEVELOPER UPDATE PROMISES A NEW HERO "SOONER RATHER THAN LATER"

Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan has posted a lengthy community update today, outlining some forthcoming changes and additions to the hero shooter. In addition to some balance changes to existing heroes like Widowmaker and Junkrat, Kaplan notes that there are two new characters in development: one which is likely to arrive "sooner rather than later".

Koji Igarashi and ArtPlay Inc. have agreed a publishing deal for their successfully crowdfunded Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
505 Games, the folks who helped market both Payday 2 and Virginia, will publish the Castlevania spiritual successor—news which follows Igarashi's recent decision to push the game back to 2018.
