I went with the Vive myself but I'm surprised it's actually ahead of the Oculus given the absurd advantage the Oculus has had in regards to advertising. I suppose these upper tier VR headsets aren't mainstream yet, so someone who's willing to pay for one is just going to skip straight to $800 and not settle for a $600 headset that lacks controllers (those are packaged in with the Vive) and room scaling.

Really, the Oculus Rift is kind of in a weird place between two quality choices in the PSVR and Vive, one for the console gamer looking to try out VR and the other for enthusiasts.

As for "2.6 million", that's asking a hell of a lot but I wouldn't say it's impossible.
