HEARTHSTONE PATCH MAKES THE GAME UNLAUNCHABLE, BUT THERE'S AN EASY FIX

The new Hearthstone patch went live today promising nerfs and balance changes galore, but it also added a nasty bug that makes the game unlaunchable. If you try to play Hearthstone and see the error "Unable to load mono library from 'C:/Hearthstone/Hearthstone_Data/Mono/mono.dll' (error = 126)," you are not alone, but luckily there is an easy fix for it.

 

TOM CLANCY’S GHOST RECON WILDLANDS – NEW SCREENSHOTS RELEASED

Alongside the new trailer for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, Ubisoft released three new screenshots for its open-world tactical shooter. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands releases on March 7th and – as you may have guessed it – these screenshots look better than any gameplay footage we’ve seen (for example, we can easily notice a sharpening filter that has been applied to them). Therefore, it will be interesting to see whether PC gamers will be able to come close to these visuals via custom Reshade and SweetFX configs.

 

TOM CLANCY’S GHOST RECON WILDLANDS – STEALTH TAKEDOWN MISSION PLAYTHROUGH

During TwitchCon 2016, Ubisoft demoed the E3 2016 mission of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands in nighttime. In this demo, Ubisoft showcased the stealthy approaches that gamers will be able to take. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands will feature a full day/night cycle, as well as a realistic weather system that promise to have an influence on the gameplay. As such, players will be able to complete missions via different approaches and methods. The game releases on March 7th.

 

ROCKET LEAGUE UPDATE ADDS AQUADOME, AQUACARS

Andy mentioned 12 days ago that Rocket League's AquaDome update (it adds an 'AquaDome' and 'AquaCars', natch) would be arriving in October, and now that we're in October, that update has suddenly appeared. You want to battle other cars in a big game of football under the sea, right? Of course you do, so get a load of update 1.24's patch notes, which break down all the stuff that's just been elbowed in.

Kotaku has released a video, showcasing twelve minutes of gameplay footage from the single-player campaign of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. This video shows the “Charlie Don’t Surf” mission, and will give you an idea of what you can expect from the single-player mode of this remastered version of Modern Warfare. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will be available with the special editions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, though we’ve heard that the game will be made available as a standalone title in the future.

Red Barrels announced that the demo for its upcoming horror game, Outlast 2, will be available on Steam later today. According to the team, the demo will be available until Tuesday, November 1st, so we strongly suggest downloading it while you still can.

FORZA HORIZON 3 – FIRST PATCH DETAILED, PROMISES TO FIX STUTTERING, RELEASES LATER TODAY

Playground Games has revealed the changelog for the first patch for Forza Horizon 3. This patch will be made available later today, and according to its changelog, it fixes the stuttering issue that PC gamers have reported when the framerate was unlocked.

 

MORTAL KOMBAT XL IS NOW AVAILABLE ON THE PC
