I suppose it does make you wonder if it would negatively affect game prices much though. Considering the amount they`d give you back would have to be a fair bit lower than the current price of the game to be worthwhile to Sony, would this encourage them to keep the price of old games as high as possible so that it stays an attractive prospect for customers rather than becoming such a small amount that it`s not worth doing? |
I'm really not sure how it would affect things but lets use a real world scenario. Uncharted 4, you can get on disc currently for about about £25-30? Not much but let's say the currently price of £45 allowed me to exchange my copy of Diablo 3 I purchased for £25 way back when. I'll get a 1/4 of it's worth so £6.50 or so, not much but if it means I get money off and I don't have to bother with swapping discs when I want to play or even leaving the house to buy it, I would definitely be included to do it. Buying the game for £30 on a disc, they'd get less from the sale anyway. I dunno... it's an idea.

So I had 2 versions. I rang them, said I hadn't even started up the ps3 version and would like a refund. No problem at all. Refund granted. |

Both of these were genuine mistakes and in terms of PS Stores refund policy, they would be refunded due to you not downloading the purchase. Well within the rules...
... now what would they do if you downloaded it, played it and then said in their reason for a refund 'Just didn't like it.'?
Hmm, pie.
