My speed is around 30mbps, and there is only occasional lag. Generally it's as smooth as normal cable. Of course, it's going to use up some bandwith for other stuff.
The service is pretty decent. The DVR is easy to use, as long as you don't intend on keeping anything for over a month. The menu is easy to navigate.
As long as you're ok with the selection of channels, it's a good service.
