I'm not keeping up with NMS sales, as I don't really care about it, I know it tanked after the release, tho.
TLG should have a modest opening and even more modest sales but for a good while, it should be a game people will still be talking here and there some years in the future, despite the average scores it'll most likely get (low 80s at best, think it'll go around mid 70s).
I expect it to push over a million sales in the worst case, should be considerably above that by the next holidays, but I'm willing to say it'll be reaching 2M in the long run.
If it does better than that, I would be pretty happy, but surprised.

It will be hard to surpass No Man's Sky because of the opening week. I think that it is at 800 thousands on Steam, even after a lot of refunds. So, I  think that, with the ps4 sales, No Man's Sky sold 2-3 millions already.
