Well when it looks this bad, I often can't enjoy good animation. There needs to be a bit of a balance. I accept lower quality in favor of animation. That's understandable. But not this bad. On top of that, this was a filler scene. I didn't wait 10+ years to finally see Madara in action, only to see him fight uselss nameless fodder for a few minutes. It was very slow paced as well, with some calm music, showing Madara just walking towards them for what felt like too long. In the manga, it went streight into action with Madara jumping down and firing a giant fireball at the heroes. I imagined a very upbeat music would be played here. He took out a few fodder as well, but it wasn't emphasized the way it was in the extra anime scene.

Here's an example of what I would call top notch animation (great balance between art quality and animation): *Dragon Ball Super Episode 57 spoilers*

Especially the part from 2:45 looks amazing for a non-movie anime episode.
This is done by a very talented animator who mostly worked on One Piece as of late, but he had free time recently so DB Super hired him. He is going to animate next week's episode as well.

That DBS episode was amazing yeah haha. Still, I think the Madara vs Allied forces was pretty well done (That scene was the worst I must admit, but most of it was really good IMO). For Naruto, leaving movies aside, the best were Sasuke vs Orochimaru, Kakashi vs Obito, Gaara vs Lee and the original valley of the end Sasuke vs Naruto.

On Dragon ball, I think that animation was great but I think the drawings were superior in the old series ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPIGt5fpysM this for example )
