I think you might be right. Activision may have wrested the title of worst gaming company from EA. At least EA is trying to repair its reputation - free DLC for Titanfall 2 is a huge step in the right direction. Meanwhile Activision is selling Destiny piecemeal.

Bungie made the wrong decision in my opinion by partnering with Activision. Yes it worked out very favorably financially but I feel that in the long term, Bungie's stellar reputation has been tarnised.
Call of Duty is no better than Destiny either. They are locking Modern Warfare Remastered behind the premium edition Infinite Warfare. They have pay-for-advantage DLC guns locked behind RNG supply drops. Yes you can 'win' them without actually spending real money but the odds of winning them that way are astronomically low. One guy on Youtube spent something close to $50US just to win one DLC weapon!! The new COD will have statistically superior variants of guns also, so that means more RNG supply drops, more advantage and more revenue for Activision. I really don't like where gaming is going now.

You're preaching to the choir. By getting into bed with Activision Bungie did serious damage to its stellar reputation. The DLC and microtransaction situation is out of control too. "AAA" gaming is a lead weight around the neck of the industry, dragging it into the abyss.
