I don't think thats true, I personally don't own a Xbox but I would much like to have a UHD player and if the Pro did offer it, maybe it would have been more of a reason to upgrade, where currently I think its just not worth it. Overall its not "essential" but its deffenitely really nice since a 4k movie looks amazing from the discs and you sometimes just want to show off your television ^_^
Personally I think the costs would have outweighted in favour of including it. But I am sure Sony will release a model that does support it later down the line.
