That's the problem. I'm being asked to pay hundreds for dollars for this. If "that's it", I don't think it's worth the price being asked. Not just the price in dollars but the potential price in performance. VR is demanding and this could potentially impact performance negatively.

Look, I will just stop talking if you just go and test it for yourself, deal? there is no point in me telling you, just test it yourself :)
