They provide a link to rift ready pcs, cheapest CAD 1700 on sale, normally CAD 2000. The cheapest equivalent on pc parts picker Canada is CAD 1049 which has more memory and 512GB SSD instead of 1Tb hdd, however OS, motherboard and GPU not included in that price... so closer to CAD 1700

At the end of the day, psvr will get exposure in stores and likely more marketing too.
However there are no (more) pre-orders available for psvr while rift can still be pre-ordered. I really hope Sony ships enough of them as I want to play Driveclub in VR.
