Quick question : What to get first, PS3, a new videocard of an HDTV?

Get the TV only if you're prepared to buy the PS3 within a couple months. I got my HDTV in Feb. and by April I had the PS3 as well. It came down to me really wanting to use the HD capability of my TV and that was the cheapest solution.
